Our Approach
**Assess & Design:** We conducted a full audit of their existing infrastructure and manual processes. We then designed a new architecture based on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, using Terraform for resource provisioning and Ansible for configuration management.
**Automate & Amplify:** We began with a QuickWin by automating a single test environment as a pilot project. Following its success, we progressively migrated all other environments, including production, to the new model while training the client's team.
Solution
- **Infrastructure as Code with Terraform:** We developed modular and reusable Terraform code to define the entire cloud infrastructure—networks, virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and databases. Any environment can now be created or destroyed with a single command.
- **Automated Configuration with Ansible:** We created Ansible playbooks to automatically handle software installation, apply security patches, and configure applications. This completely eliminated 'configuration drift' between environments.
- **GitOps Workflow:** All infrastructure code was stored in a Git repository. Every change is now proposed via a Pull Request, which undergoes peer review and automated checks, ensuring full control and a complete audit trail.
Results
- The time to provision a completely new, production-ready environment was reduced from 2 weeks to under 30 minutes.
